Serbian Biogas Association Managing Director, Lidija Zelić, participated in the international event Global Green Hub Korea 2026, held in Yeosu, Republic of Korea, in cooperation with KOTRA Belgrade.
The event brought together companies, institutions, and organizations active in the fields of green economy and sustainable development, providing an opportunity to establish new contacts and explore potential avenues for international cooperation. During numerous B2B meetings, the potential of Serbia’s biogas sector was presented, with particular emphasis on opportunities for collaboration in organic waste management, renewable energy production, and the development of future biogas and biomethane projects.
Participation in this event once again demonstrated Serbia’s potential to position itself as a relevant partner in the development of the biogas and biomethane sector, while also highlighting the growing interest of international companies in cooperating with Serbian stakeholders.
During her stay in Seoul, a meeting was also held with representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in the Republic of Korea. In discussions with Ambassador Nemanja Grbić and First Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission Aleksandar Đorđević, the potential of Serbia’s biogas sector was presented, along with opportunities to strengthen cooperation between Serbia and Korea in the fields of renewable energy and sustainable technologies.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Seoul for its support and willingness to actively contribute to connecting Serbian businesses and institutions with international partners.
At a time when the energy transition is increasingly shaped by international partnerships, events such as this represent an important step toward enhancing the international visibility of Serbia’s biogas sector and creating new opportunities for cooperation, investment, and knowledge exchange.
