Non-governmental and not-for-profit association, founded in March 2012 with the aim of gathering companies that planned to build the first biogas installations in Serbia. The main motive of the gathering was to achieve the goals in the field of development and to encourage the production and use of biogas as a renewable energy source. The Biogas Association is an active partner of the German association Fachverband Biogas e.V. as well as a member of the European Biogas Association EBA.

Today, the Biogas Association is a representative association of over 30 members, which has 14 biogas power plants.
The representatives of the Serbian Biogas Association visited the Biogas Convention in Nuremberg.
Organized by our partner association – the German Biogas Association Fachverband Biogas e.V. a delegation from the Serbian Biogas Association had the pleasure of visiting some of the most representative biogas plants in Bavaria.
Our members, the Singidunum University, responded to another initiative jointly organized by the Biogas Association and DKTI GIZ at the Singidunum University premises in Belgrade.
