Statement by the Chairman
Biogas plants should not be regarded solely as electricity producers, but rather should be regarded in the context of the overall process. Although electricity production is the primary goal and purpose of biogas plants, other numerous positive impacts on the environment should by no means be disregarded.
The production of high quality organic fertiliser improves the quality of soil, reducing the need for artificial fertilisers.
Most importantly, biogas plants address many environmental problems, managing effectively biological and organic waste.
We are not dealing here only with environmentally effective method of waste management, but also with the fact that waste can be valorised through production of electricity, heat and organic fertiliser.
