AERZEN ADRIA SERBIA D.O.O. Joins the Serbian Biogas Association

AERZEN was founded in Germany in 1864 and built Europe’s first rotary lobe blower in 1868. Today, the company employs around 4,000 people worldwide, including approximately 1,700 in its manufacturing facilities in Germany. With a global network of subsidiaries, AERZEN serves customers around the world, while the Balkan region is supported by its subsidiaries in Croatia and Serbia.

One of the company’s core business areas is the development and manufacture of solutions for the biogas and biomethane sector. Drawing on decades of experience in handling process gases in the chemical and petrochemical industries, AERZEN has developed specialized solutions covering the key stages of biogas and biomethane production, upgrading and utilization. Its equipment is used to boost gas pressure for combined heat and power (CHP) units, in biogas upgrading plants, and for biomethane compression prior to injection into natural gas transmission and distribution networks.

The product portfolio includes oil-free and screw compressors, rotary lobe blowers and rotary piston gas meters for the compression and metering of biogas, biomethane, natural gas, hydrogen and other technical gases. AERZEN offers both standard and customized solutions across a wide range of capacities and operating pressures to meet the specific requirements of each project. The company’s solutions are designed to deliver outstanding energy efficiency, operational reliability and long-term performance.

In addition to compressors and blowers, AERZEN’s portfolio includes rotary piston gas meters for the accurate measurement of biogas and biomethane flows in energy applications. All solutions are designed in accordance with the highest European safety standards and are suitable for operation in hazardous areas (ATEX Zones 1 and 2), ensuring maximum safety, efficiency and reliability.

Manufacturing is based in Germany, while customers in Serbia are supported by a well-established local service network with more than 15 years of experience. The company has extensive references in wastewater treatment plants, landfill sites and biogas facilities, where its technologies have been successfully deployed for many years.
