Serbian Biogas Association Participates in the BIOECO-INNO Stakeholders’ Day

On 11 June, Lidija Zelić, Managing Director of the Serbian Biogas Association, participated in the BIOECO-INNO Stakeholders’ Day, hosted by Educons University as part of the international BEAMING project and its Community of Practice (CoP) initiative, which brings together representatives from academia, industry, public institutions and civil society organisations active in the bioeconomy sector.

The event focused on the validation of the Educons University Bioeconomy Action Plan, the presentation of the BEAMING Community of Practice call for proposals and the internal two-stage competition, as well as discussions on the development of joint project ideas. The programme also featured an expert workshop on knowledge valorisation and presentations of Educons University’s innovation activities, including those of the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) and the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE).

For the Serbian Biogas Association, initiatives that strengthen collaboration between academia, industry and public institutions are of particular importance, especially those that facilitate the transfer of knowledge into practical solutions, innovation and collaborative projects. As biogas and biomethane are integral parts of the bioeconomy, events such as this provide an excellent platform for exchanging expertise, building partnerships and identifying new opportunities for cooperation.

The international BEAMING project aims to strengthen regional bioeconomy innovation ecosystems by fostering Communities of Practice, promoting knowledge transfer and connecting stakeholders with partners across the international consortium.

The Serbian Biogas Association would like to thank Educons University for the invitation and the excellent organisation of the event and looks forward to continuing the successful cooperation on future initiatives supporting the development of the bioeconomy and sustainable energy solutions.
