From November 12 to 15, 2024, one of the most important and prestigious events in the world of biogas – Biogas Convention 2024 – will take place in Hanover, Germany. This year, the convention will be held as part of the EnergyDecentral trade fair, organized by the German Biogas Association (Fachverband Biogas e.V.). The convention serves as a key platform for the exchange of innovations, experiences, and the latest achievements in the biogas sector, bringing together experts, entrepreneurs, and decision- makers from around the world.
Lectures and panel discussions will be central to the event, with attendees having the opportunity to hear from leading experts who will discuss topics such as technological innovations in biogas production, upgrading biogas to biomethane, and the integration of biogas into broader energy systems. Special emphasis will be placed on current regulations, financing opportunities, and the latest market trends.
The exhibition portion of the fair will gather leading equipment manufacturers and service providers and showcase innovative solutions in the field of biogas. Visitors will have the chance to explore the latest technologies and speak directly with industry experts.

As an exception this year, the presentations at the Biogas Convention 2024 will be exclusively in German. However, English-language presentations have also been prepared for trade fair visitors, under the theme: ‘Powering Tomorrow: biogas innovations and real-world applications.’ These presentations will take place on the expert stage in Hall 25, and visitors can attend without prior registration. The German Biogas Association team will be present at the joint stand in Hall 25, stand C20, where visitors can gather information and participate in discussions and activities related to biogas.
