We proudly present the new member of the Biogas Serbia Association – the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Novi Sad (UNSPMF), one of the leading higher education institutions in the country in terms of achieved results in education and scientific research in the field of fundamental sciences (chemistry, biology, physics, environmental protection, geography), mathematics, and computer science. For years, the Faculty of Sciences has been a credible partner in national and increasingly in international research and innovation projects (https://www.pmf.uns.ac.rs/en/research/projects/). Dedicated and competent staff make UNSPMF recognized for its excellence, responsible research and innovations, as well as its commitment to social responsibility, the promotion of science, and the creation of young, open-minded professionals. Within UNSPMF, the Department of Environmental Protection has been conducting significant research in the field of environmental protection for over 40 years. Researchers from this department participate in numerous projects, including those focusing on soil remediation and the application of carbon materials (such as biochar, anaerobic digestate, compost, etc.) in soil for remediation and soil quality improvement: TwinSubDyn, ReNBES, and Phy2Climate.
