On marking 20+ years of German development cooperation in Serbia, on May 21, 2022, a jubilee celebration was held on the Republic Square in Belgrade, organized by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the German Development Bank (KfV).

 

At the beginning of the official part of the program, those present were greeted by His Excellency, the Ambassador of Germany to Serbia, Thomas Schieb, as well as the Minister for European Integration in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Jadranka Joksimović.

 

During the address, the speakers pointed out that the cooperation was intensified in aspects; increasing the use of sustainable energy sources, as well as the rule of law and strengthening the private sector.

 

His Excellency Mr. Thomas Schieb and the Minister of European Integration, Jadranka Joksimović visited the stand of the Serbian Biogas Association, where they talked with representatives of the association about the current situation with the biogas sector in Serbia and ways to support the sector.
