The Biogas Association Serbia, in partnership with the German Biogas Association (Fachverband Biogas e.V), is organizing a significant annual conference: “Sustainable Development of the Biogas Sector in Serbia – from Biogas to Biomethane.”

The conference will take place on October 19, 2023, at the Metropol Palace Belgrade Hotel, located at 69 Kralja Aleksandra Boulevard, Belgrade.

Eminent experts from Serbia and Germany, as well as institutional representatives, will discuss ecological aspects of biogas production, explore the possibilities of introducing biomethane into the Serbian market, and define the directions for further development of the biogas sector in our country through presentations and panel discussions. Insights for improvement will also be traced from Germany, the European leader in biogas production, along with examples of good practices from Serbia.

The conference’s focus will be on raising awareness of biomethane’s potential, in line with the strategic goal of decarbonization and reducing the use of fossil fuels.

Conference participants, members of the Biogas Association Serbia, biogas plant operators, representatives of relevant institutions, investors, educational institution representatives, equipment manufacturers, technology suppliers, will have the opportunity to establish direct contacts and collaborations while exchanging scientific knowledge and practical experiences.
