The representative of the Biogas Association Serbia, Lidija Carević, spoke at the International Scientific Conference FINIZ 2023 held on Thursday, December 7, 2023, organized by the University of Belgrade.

The theme of this year’s FINIZ conference was: “Sustainable Development as a Measure of Modern Business Success,” in line with significant geopolitical, ecological, and business changes worldwide.

The concept of sustainable development today consists of economic, social, and environmental pillars that meet the needs of current and future business success, and this theme has become of paramount importance for guiding business decisions at all levels of organizations in the modern knowledge economy.

The International Scientific Conference FINIZ 2023 was an ideal opportunity for all participants to present their work and results to the public, as well as to exchange experiences and ideas with other recognized experts in relevant fields.

The association representative spoke at the session “Concept and Challenges of the Circular Economy – Serbia and the EU,” during which the challenges of the circular economy, the application of the circular economy in the value chain, the contribution of the circular economy to environmental sustainability, green innovations in the circular economy, and models of financing projects related to the circular economy were discussed. Participants in the panel included professors from the Faculty of Economics, the University of Belgrade, as well as the Faculty of Technology.
