With immense satisfaction and great pride, we share the success of one of the largest sectoral events, since the inception of the biogas sector in Serbia, the conference titled “Sustainable Development of the Biogas Sector in Serbia – from Biogas to Biomethane.”

The conference brought together representatives from the Government of the Republic of Serbia, officials from relevant institutions, members of the Biogas Association Serbia, investors, farmers, and a large number of media representatives, aiming to chart the course for the sector’s further development, with the initiative to introduce biomethane into the Serbian market.

A packed auditorium and an interest that far exceeded our expectations have demonstrated to us the magnitude of strength in this strategically important sector.

We organized this conference in collaboration with our partners, Fachverband Biogas e.V. The long-term, continuous support and knowledge shared by our German colleagues, who are leaders in biogas in Europe, along with the experiences from German facilities, have influenced us as professionals and the biogas sector in our country.

The past three years have brought significant changes to the biogas sector and altered the way we perceive biogas plants. They are no longer merely electricity producers; they are now the pillars of environmental sustainability. During the conference, we specifically emphasized this crucial ecological role of biogas.

In conclusion, our primary concern should be the protection of the environment and leaving a legacy for future generations. We are mere passersby on this planet, and it is our responsibility not only to preserve what we have inherited but also to enhance and leave a better world for future generations.
