Validity Period of the Old Regulation Extended

The Ministry of Mining and Energy issued an official statement on November 26, 2018, extending the validity period of the Incentives Regulation.

In the past few months the RES sector was facing uncertainty as regards the regulatory framework and incentives due to be put in place by the Government.

The Regulation was adopted in 2016 to remain in force until December 31, 2018.

Just over a month before the expiry of the Regulation, the Serbian Government decided to extend its validity period. The Amended Regulation on Incentives for the Production on Electricity from Renewable Energy Sources and Highly Efficient Combined Heat and Power Production extended the validity period of incentives until December 31, 2019.
