On October 29^, 2019, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, the Biogas Association and the Biogas Association Germany, Fachverband Biogas e.V. organized a training program in biogas plant safety entitled “Safety First! Safety and Training on Biogas Plants”.

Trainer, expert from the Biogas Association Germany, Dipl. Wirt. Ing. (FH) Marion Wiesheu, Head of Training and Safety at the German Biogas Association, passed on valuable knowledge and experience from Germany regarding biogas plant safety. Considering the fact that Germany is the country with the largest number of biogas plants built throughout Europe, and the fact that the topic of safety and security in biogas plants is the subject of numerous laws and regulations, this training program was of great importance for us as an example of good practice and a roadmap for the future.

This perfectly designed training program, supported by numerous case studies from Germany, provided us with an insight into the importance of this topic, as well as ways to overcome and prevent injuries in biogas plants.

Our members, who attended the training, received a certificate of completion.

We look forward to new training programs as well as new reasons to bring our members together.
