Organized by our partner association – the German Biogas Association Fachverband Biogas e.V. a delegation from the Serbian Biogas Association had the pleasure of visiting some of the most representative biogas plants in Bavaria. We have learned a lot, gathered a lot of practical knowledge and received a lot of insights. Since we had five days at our disposal, our hosts did their best to organize our time in the most efficient way possible and allow us to visit as many plants as possible and talk to biogas experts who answered many of our questions. This experience was of great importance to us as an Association, but also to our members who traveled with us.

We saw biogas being produced at the Entsorgungs und Verwertungs GmbH Eggertshofen plant in Friesing, owned by Mr Pellmeyer and with a tradition of over 25 years, we visited the Bavarian State Research Center for Agriculture in Friesing, followed by the BioIN GmbH biogas plant in Stammham / Ingolstadt, Bioenergie – Bayern GmbH & Ko biogas plant in Schwabach as well as CARMEN e.V. Association for Central Agricultural Raw Meterial Marketing and Energy Network located in Straubing.
