A conference Biogas in the Developing Countries was held during the 26th Biogas Convention in Hanover organised by Fachverband Biogas e.V.
It took place within the scope of the International Trade Fair for Decentralized Energy Supply – EnergyDecentral – between November 15 and November 18, 2016.
The Hanover conference was attended by a delegation from Serbia, as arranged by the Development of Sustainable Bioenergy Market in Serbia Programme (GIZ DKTI), which is implemented in Serbia within a bilateral programme of the Republic of Serbia and the Federal Republic of Germany. The delegation included representatives of the Province of Vojvodina Town Planning and Environmental Protection Secretariat, representatives of the Guarantee Fund of Novi Sad, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, representatives of the Province of Vojvodina Secretariat for Energy, Construction and Transport, representatives of the Serbian Biogas Association, and representatives of the private sector.
More than 300 exhibitors took part at the Trade Fair to present the latest development trends and decentralized supply of electricity and heat. During their stay in Hanover, the delegation attended panel discussions together with the participants from other countries, visited EnergyDecentral and visited a biogas plant in the vicinity of Hanover. This year’s Biogas Convention was attended by 623 participants who shared their experience in the biogas production and marketing aspects from different markets.
